How to Set Up TiViMate and Add Your IPTV Subscription

Step-by-step setup

1. Have your AurexTV details ready

   Open your welcome message and keep your server URL, username and password to hand. TiViMate uses the Xtream login and does not need your M3U link at all, so those three values are the only thing you need from the message. Keep it on your phone, because you will read the server URL across the room and it must be typed exactly.

2. Install TiViMate

   On Android TV and Google TV, install it from the Play Store. On a Firestick it must be sideloaded through Downloader, which the Firestick guide walks through. There is no build for Apple, Samsung or LG, so on that hardware use IPTV Smarters instead. Open TiViMate once it is installed and it takes you straight toward adding a playlist.

3. Add a playlist with Xtream Codes

   Choose Add playlist, then Xtream Codes login. Enter the server address, username and password from your message and press Next. TiViMate will not ask for an M3U link and does not need one, so if you see a field for it you have picked the wrong option; go back and choose Xtream Codes.

4. Name it and let the channels load

   Give the playlist a name you will recognize if you ever add a second, then let the channel list and guide download. It asks which categories to include; that choice is changeable later under Settings, so do not agonize over it now. The first load across a large list takes a minute or two and is quicker after that.

5. Set up the guide and your favorites

   Under Settings, TV guide, set the refresh interval to every 12 hours. The guide source travels with your Xtream login, so unlike some players there is no separate EPG URL to paste anywhere. Then build your favorites: TiViMate lets you reorder channels and hide groups, and a few minutes here is what turns the grid into something genuinely fast to live with.

6. Set the guide to your time zone

   TiViMate reads its times from the device clock, so if the grid looks an hour out, the fix is in the Android date and time settings, not in TiViMate. Set the device to automatic time and confirm the zone matches the US, UK, Canada or Australia. Reopen TiViMate and the grid will line up with what is actually on air.

7. Run through the first-night checklist

   Before you settle in, confirm several channels play, the guide grid shows the right programs, and your favorites are ordered the way you want. If the guide reads "no information", force a refresh as the errors section explains. And remember the trial is no-commitment, so whether you keep AurexTV, and whether you later add the TiViMate upgrade, is entirely your call.

Common errors and fixes

TiViMate says the playlist could not be loaded

Check that the server address carries its port on the end and that the plan is still active. Then retype the password by hand rather than pasting it, because text copied out of a chat very often brings an invisible space along with it, and that single hidden character is enough to fail an otherwise correct login.

The guide shows no information

Force a refresh from Settings, TV guide, Update now, then restart the app. A first load across a large channel list can also simply need more time than people give it, so let it sit for a few minutes before deciding something is wrong. The guide data comes with your login, so there is nothing separate to add.

Recording or multi-view is greyed out

Those are features of the paid TiViMate upgrade, and they stay locked on the free version. The upgrade is bought through the separate TiViMate Companion app on a phone rather than inside TiViMate on the television, which trips up almost everyone. If you have paid and they are still locked, sign in to the same account in both apps.

The channel order keeps resetting

If your custom order does not stick, you are probably editing the playlist view rather than a channel group. Create a group under Settings, then arrange channels inside it, and TiViMate will hold that order. On the free version some organizing features are limited, and the paid upgrade unlocks the fuller channel management.
