Step-by-step setup
Have your AurexTV details ready
Two of the routes below use different things, so pull up your welcome message and note both. For IPTV Smarters you need the Xtream values: server URL, username and password. For the Smart IPTV app you instead need your M3U playlist link. Both are in the same message. Having them ready on a phone saves a trip back to another room halfway through, since part of this is done on a second device.
Open the Samsung Apps store
Press the Home button on the remote and move to Apps, usually at the far end of the ribbon along the bottom. Open it and use the search icon in the top corner. This is Samsung’s own store, not Google Play, which is why the app names differ a little from what you may have seen on other platforms.
Install a player
Search for "IPTV Smarters" or "Smart IPTV". IPTV Smarters is the simplest starting point and takes the Xtream login directly. Smart IPTV is lighter, which shows on older sets, but works by MAC upload rather than a login screen. Install whichever your country store offers and open it once.
Sign in or upload your playlist
With IPTV Smarters, choose the Xtream Codes option and enter the server URL, username and password. Smart IPTV works the other way around: it shows a MAC address on screen, and you go to siptv.app/mylist on a phone or laptop, enter that MAC, paste your M3U link and send it. Either path ends with your channels on the television.
Build your favorites and set the language
Once the list loads, spend a few minutes marking the channels you actually watch as favorites and switching off groups you never will. On a Samsung remote the channel-list button is the fastest way through the groups. Set the audio and interface language now too, so you are not fishing through menus later while something is playing.
Set the guide to your time zone
The program guide takes its times from the television clock, so if the listings look shifted, fix the TV rather than the app. Go to Settings, General, System Manager, Time, and set the clock to Auto with the correct time zone for the US, UK, Canada or Australia. Reopen the player and the guide should line up with what is actually on air.
Run through the first-night checklist
A quick pass before you sit back: open two or three channels and confirm they start within a few seconds, check the guide shows the right programs, and make sure your favorites are saved. If a channel shows sound but a black screen, that is a decoder setting, covered just below. And keep in mind the trial is yours to keep or drop over WhatsApp, no forms and no phone calls.
Common errors and fixes
The app is not in my country store
Samsung curates its catalog by region, so a player listed in one country may be absent in another. Either switch the store region in the television settings, or fall back to IPTV Smarters, which is stocked in nearly every market. If neither shows anything, message support and they will name a player that is currently available where you are.
Smart IPTV says the playlist expired
That message is about the app, not your subscription, and it usually appears after a reinstall or a factory reset wiped the stored list. Just upload your M3U again at siptv.app/mylist against the same MAC address the television shows, and the channels return. Nothing has happened to your AurexTV account.
A channel plays sound but shows a black screen
That is a decoder mismatch, not a dead feed. In IPTV Smarters, open the player settings and switch the decoder from hardware to software, or the reverse. For sports channels, there is usually a lower-bitrate copy of the same feed in the list that plays cleanly on older Samsung hardware.
The store keeps signing me out
Some Samsung sets drop the store session when the television clock is wrong, so set the time to automatic first, as covered in the time-zone step. If it still logs you out, sign in to your Samsung account again from Settings, and make sure the set is on a stable connection rather than a marginal Wi-Fi signal at the edge of range.

Can I use IPTV on a Samsung TV without a Firestick?
Yes. Any Samsung from 2016 onward runs IPTV Smarters or Smart IPTV straight from its built-in store, so the television is the only device involved and there is nothing to plug in. A separate stick is only worth adding for a set older than that, or if you specifically want TiViMate, which Samsung does not carry.
Is the Smart IPTV app free on Samsung?
It runs free for a trial period on each television, after which it asks for a small one-time activation for that specific set, paid to the app developer. IPTV Smarters has no such charge. Either way, remember the app is only a shell: it displays nothing until an AurexTV subscription is entered behind it.
Why do the app names look different in my store?
Samsung stocks different players in the US, UK, Canadian and Australian stores, and occasionally renames them, which is why a guide and your screen do not always match word for word. As long as the player can take an Xtream login or an M3U link, it will work with AurexTV; the two named above are the ones most widely available.
Which Samsung models does this work on?
Any Samsung Smart TV from the 2016 model year onward, since that is when the Tizen store and these players became available. Older sets predate it, and for those a small streaming stick in a spare HDMI port is the simplest answer. If you are unsure of the year, the model number on the back of the set tells you.
Do I need a separate box for 4K on Samsung?
No. A 4K Samsung set shows the 4K feeds directly through the app, with no extra box, provided your plan and your internet speed support them. This is part of the appeal of doing it on the television itself: there is nothing extra to buy, power or switch inputs to when you want to watch.
